President of the Republic, Michel Temer, preached the unification of the population and the end of the walls that impede the growth of the country.

Parliament's sovereign decision is not a personal victory for anyone, but it is an achievement of the Democratic Rule of Law, the strength of institutions and the Constitution itself.

The absolute majority of Members followed the report by Mr Paulo Abi-Ackel (PSDB-MG), who recommended rejecting the request for lack of evidence.

My friends, my friends,


I want to make a brief statement on the day the Chamber of Deputies, representing the Brazilian people, manifested itself in a clear and uncontested way. Parliament's sovereign decision is not a personal victory for anyone, but it is an achievement of the Democratic Rule of Law, the strength of institutions and the Constitution itself.


The power of authority, I have repeated this very often, emanates from the law. To extrapolate what the Constitution determines is to violate democracy. Everyone should - I will say the obvious - obey the law and the Constitution. It is the principles of law that guarantee us normality in personal or institutional relations. Today, these principles won with votes above the absolute majority in the House of Representatives.

And it is with this eloquent decision that I can say that we will now move forward with the necessary actions to complete the work that my government started, let's face it, just over a year ago. We are removing Brazil from the most serious economic crisis in our history. Although it is repetitive, I say that it is urgent to put the country on the path of growth, job creation, modernization and social justice.


I think everyone knows that I have not stopped a single minute since May 12, 2016, when I took office. And I will not rest until December 31, 2018, when I will close the government. But it is during this brief period that I hope to finish the biggest transformation ever made in our country, in various sectors, the state and society.

We are, in fact, modernizing our institutions. We changed the law of oil, changed the law of mining, cut down on bureaucracy, confront and defeat inflation. Interest is falling every month. We have recorded historical records of production in agriculture and exports.

By receiving, as we have received, millions of the unemployed as a legacy of the past, I have dedicated myself to creating new jobs, and we have already achieved significant results this year and employment is returning. They will be, I can assure, even more expressive numbers when the modernization of labor legislation comes into force. A revolution, let's face it, which has been waiting for almost 30 years and has only just happened.

But this is all the result of hard work, dialogue with Congress, the alliance between employees and employers. And we will do much more by putting, as we are doing, our accounts in order of definite and balanced form. And we will also, I can assure today, with the support that the Chamber of Deputies has given us, we will do all the other structural reforms that the Country needs.

We will simplify, you know, I have already announced many times, the Brazilian tax system. Companies need to focus more on generating products, services and marketing than on servicing government bureaucracy. In fact, in recent times we have practiced many de-bureaucratic acts of the Brazilian public administration.

And the government must also create the conditions, therefore, for employment to be born in a favorable economic environment, without ever hindering or hindering honest and entrepreneurial private initiative.

And the time is to invest and believe in the potential of our Country. Brazil is ready to grow even more and the growth that has begun will come. Those who try to divide the Brazilians, err. This I say without Temer of making a mistake.


We are all Brazilians, children of the same nation, who hold the same rights and duties. We must all - and this is my goal, it is the goal of my government - to dedicate ourselves to making Brazil better and better. And I reiterate, along with my government team, I will do this every

Meus amigos, minhas amigas,
Eu quero fazer um breve pronunciamento no dia em que a Câmara dos Deputados, que representa o povo brasileiro, manifestou-se de forma clara e incontestável. A decisão soberana do Parlamento não é uma vitória pessoal de quem quer que seja, mas é uma conquista do Estado Democrático de Direito, da força das instituições e da própria Constituição.
O poder da autoridade, tenho repetido isso com muita frequência, emana da lei. Extrapolar o que a Constituição determina é violar a democracia. Todos devem - vou dizer o óbvio - obedecer à lei e à Constituição.  São os princípios do Direito que nos garantem a normalidade nas relações pessoais ou institucionais. Hoje, esses princípios venceram com votos acima da maioria absoluta na Câmara dos Deputados.
E é diante dessa eloquente decisão que eu posso dizer que agora seguiremos em frente com as ações necessárias para concluir o trabalho que meu governo começou, convenhamos, há pouco mais de um ano. Estamos retirando o Brasil da mais grave crise econômica de nossa história. Embora seja repetitivo, eu digo que é urgente colocar o País nos trilhos do crescimento, da geração de empregos, da modernização e da justiça social.
Eu penso que todos sabem que eu não parei um minuto sequer desde 12 de maio de 2016, quando assumi o governo. E não descansarei até 31 de dezembro de 2018, quando encerrarei o governo. Mas é durante esse breve período que eu espero terminar a maior transformação já feita no nosso País, em vários setores, do Estado e da sociedade.
Nós estamos, na verdade, modernizando nossas instituições. Mudamos a lei do petróleo, mudamos a lei da mineração, diminuímos a burocracia, enfrentamos e derrotamos a inflação. Os juros estão caindo a cada mês. Batemos recordes históricos de produção na agropecuária e nas exportações.
Ao receber, como recebemos, milhões de desempregados como herança do passado, dediquei-me a criar novos empregos, e já conseguimos resultados expressivos neste ano e o emprego está voltando. Serão, posso afiançar, números ainda mais expressivos quando entrar em vigor a modernização da legislação trabalhista. Uma revolução, convenhamos, aguardada há quase 30 anos e só agora aconteceu.
Mas isto tudo é fruto de um trabalho árduo, do diálogo com o Congresso, da aliança entre empregados e empregadores. E nós faremos muito mais ao colocar, como estamos fazendo, as nossas contas em ordem de forma definitiva e equilibrada. E faremos também, posso hoje assegurar, com o apoio que a Câmara dos Deputados acabou nos dando, faremos todas as demais reformas estruturantes que o País necessita.
Simplificaremos, vocês sabem, eu já anunciei muitas vezes, o sistema tributário brasileiro. As empresas precisam dedicar-se mais a gerar produtos, serviços e comercializar do que atender a burocracia governamental. Aliás, nesses últimos tempos temos praticado muitos atos desburocratizantes da administração pública brasileira.
E o governo deve também criar condições, por isso mesmo, para que o emprego nasça num ambiente econômico propício, sem jamais impedir ou criar obstáculos à iniciativa privada honesta e empreendedora.
E a hora é de investir e acreditar no potencial do nosso País. O Brasil está pronto para crescer ainda mais e o crescimento que começou, virá. Aqueles que tentam dividir os brasileiro, erram. Isso eu digo sem medo de errar.
Todos nós somos brasileiros, filhos da mesma nação, detentores dos mesmos direitos e deveres. Devemos todos - e este é meu objetivo, é objetivo do meu governo - nos dedicar a fazer um Brasil cada vez melhor. E eu reitero, juntamente com minha equipe de governo, farei isso a cada minuto, a cada instante, até o fim do meu mandato.
Na verdade, eu quero construir, com cada brasileiro e com cada brasileira, um País melhor, pacificado, justo, sem ódio ou rancor. Nosso destino inexorável é ser um grande país. Portanto, é preciso acabar com os muros que nos separam e nos tornam menores. É hora de atravessarmos juntos a ponte que nos conduzirá ao grande futuro que o Brasil merece.
Portanto, em palavras finais, eu quero agradecer à Câmara dos Deputados por sua decisão e a todos os brasileiros e brasileiras de boa vontade que acreditaram em nosso País.
Vamos trabalhar juntos pelo Brasil. Muito obrigado.

Presidente fez pronunciamento após votação na Câmara
Em pronunciamento à imprensa na noite desta quarta-feira (2), o presidente da República, Michel Temer, pregou a unificação da população e o fim dos muros que impedem o crescimento do País. A declaração ocorreu após a Câmara dos Deputados rejeitar a autorização para abertura de processo criminal contra Temer.
"É preciso acabar com os muros que nos separam e nos tornam menores. É hora de atravessarmos juntos a ponte que nos conduzirá ao grande futuro que o Brasil merece", afirmou o presidente, ao reforçar o desejo de dedicar-se à formação de um País melhor e mais justo para todos os brasileiros.
Durante o pronunciamento, Temer destacou que continuará a apresentação de reformas até o fim do seu governo, em 31 de dezembro de 2018. “Devemos todos (...) nos dedicar a fazer um Brasil cada vez melhor. E eu reitero, juntamente com minha equipe de governo, farei isso a cada minuto, a cada instante, até o fim do meu mandato”, ressaltou.
Para o presidente, os recentes índices econômicos positivos, como o saldo positivo na geração de empregos, a queda da inflação, a redução da taxa Selic e os recordes na agricultura são fruto de um “trabalho árduo, do diálogo com o Congresso, da aliança entre empregados e empregadores”.
"Posso hoje assegurar, com o apoio que a Câmara dos Deputados acabou nos dando, faremos todas as demais reformas estruturantes que o País necessita ", disse o presidente. "É urgente colocar o País nos trilhos do crescimento, da geração de empregos, da modernização e da justiça social", ressaltou.

Por 263 votos sim e 227 não, com duas abstenções, a Câmara dos Deputados rejeitou a autorização para o Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) abrir processo criminal contra o presidente da República, Michel Temer. A maioria absoluta dos deputados seguiu o relatório do deputado Paulo Abi-Ackel (PSDB-MG), que recomendou a rejeição do pedido por falta de provas.
"Diante dessa eloquente decisão, posso dizer que agora seguiremos em frente com as ações necessárias para concluir o trabalho que meu governo começou há pouco mais de um ano. Estamos retirando o Brasil da mais grave crise econômica de nossa história", ponderou Temer.
